I just wanted to post the specifications for the 3 K&N Air Filters talked about on this board: 33-2165, 33-2166, and 33-2663.

Each Filter has 3 demensions:
Dim A=Length
Dim B=Width
Dim H=Height.

Actual K&N Demensions are below (Information provided by K&N):

33-2165
Dim A=12"
Dim B=5 7/8"
Dim H=1 1/8"

33-2166
Dim A=10 15/16"
Dim B=6 1/8"
Dim H=1 1/8"
+++++++++++++++++++++
33-2663
Dim A=10 15/16"
Dim B=6 1/4"
Dim H=1 3/16"

Most auroparts stores will bring up 33-2165 and the 33-2166 as fitment for all saabs '96 and newer, but in reality the two are very different. The 33-2663 will be one specified for '94 and '95 Saabs.

What I gather is that for cars '00 and newer, the 2165 is the correct fit.

For cars '99 and older the 33-2166 will be the correct fit. BUT the 33-2663 offers 1/8" wider which will fit more snugly in the box. I would suggest the 33-2663 for 1999's and older.

Hopefully this will help in making the correct selection for your car.
