Ford got into a very costly recall program when their SVT Cobra Mustangs turned out dyno readings lower than advertised. That's naturally aspirated engine that's likely to put out the same power this week as next.
Now take a Saab turbo T7 engine that adjust its output according to ambient conditions, fuel quality, etc, and the safe path is to understate the power. Yup, a well maintained Viggen, that's routinely driven aggresively, and always runs top grade fuel will make a solid 250. But the same car, driven by my grandma for a few months and fueled with midgrade will probably make 230. Maybe.
