I had the same thing happen at 35,500 Miles on my 1999 9-3. Based on age this was not covered by SAAB. You guessed it, repair the tranny. Take my advice, get this done ASAP. Also spend the extra $$$ an order this kit with it, http://www.genuinesaab.com/psi/93-95-trans-update.htm. Sorry to tell you but your probably out $1500-2000. Find an indy mechanic, that will save you $500-1000. Best Of luck.
