One last attemp to save money if you really need to is the following.
Call the salesman and tell him you have driven a 3 series bimmer a year older and more $ but you like the car. The money is a reach but depreciation looks better and so your saying thanks and goodbye. Hopefully he will call you back with a lower offer as you left it open that the extra money for the bimmer makes you nervous. You leave the impression you made up your mind with just enough doubt to give him the idea perhaps he has one last chance w/out you asking for anymore off.
If he won't call you can ring him up tomorrow afternoon with the last chance for him to discount and then suck it up if need be. Really, you could test drive a bimmer you have nothing to lose.Good luck.
