This past summer I bought a used 2000 9-3 with 64000Km, since then I have gone through two DI cassettes. The dealer/mechanic replaced the original with a used DI cassette for free but as I write the car is in the shop for DI #3. The idea that this is just something that you have to "deal with" doesn't make sense, when something breaks as often as this unit, it should be inspected to identify and correct any faults, including heat and vibration susceptibility.
