Jeff, I just came from the saab dealer as I needed to order a spare key. Suprisingly the took a look at the Bypass Valve and said that it was working properly. However it is supposed to be mounted on rubber grommets. In fact they told me that later designs have hung the valve to near by hoses to get rid of vibration problems all together.

I guess I will remount it on thicker and softer rubber and make sure no vibration can pass along to the engine compartment.
