I made a similar buy just over a year ago. 00 9-3 base, 5sp, 29.5K. I can just think of a few little things I did...
If not already done, get the transmission fluid changed over to MTF0063. Makes the shifter less balky/notchy. There is a service bulletin on this and I got it done under warranty. Search this board for more info.
If decals missing/damaged, vinyl strips on b-pillar torn/wrinkled, dealer should be willing to replace. Have them go after any miscellaneous rattles. See whether any of the speakers sound not quite right (fluttery, intermittent); I got one replaced this way.
You should also be able to get adjustments to the car's consumer electronics (Tech II stuff) done for free while under warranty. Like what level of flashing and chirping you want when using the remote locks.
If you'll be bringing the car to a dealer for 30K maintenance, you could bundle in some of this other stuff at the same time, and so feel less like you're trying to squeeze nits out of the warranty.
The "S" business is confusing. No longer a model designation but still may appear documentation/paperwork.
Hope you enjoy it. I'm enjoying mine. - Tom
