i would disconnect the battery -- remove it and put on trickle charger if not to inconvenient...or if you need the alarm you can get a quick-connect harness that wires up to the battery terminals at walmart so the trickle charger can be plugged in occasionally to keep the system up.
the electronics draw about 0.5 to 0.6 amps ( ~ 800 AH over 9 wks) when the ignition is "off", so you'll probably need a jump or charge to start it after 9 weeks...
