I don't yet own a viggen but a '97 900 SE so I'm sure the viggen tops it.
However, anytime I hear complaint about "torque steer" control difficulties I can't help but look back at the driver himself. At 17, my daily drive was a mint german 535i alpine edition BM. I thought something was wrong with the car because I couldn't keep it in a straight line in any gear and was never able to corner like my counterparts (guy in his late 20's with tons of rally experience). I was the driver to blame not the car and as I watched his handling of the car I grew fond of it only to have my dad take it away (It was a wise decision now that I think of it). Growing up we were rally fanatic and had gone through a lot of experiences (Accidents, car flipping, loosing brake power going down mountains and having to halt it to a stop with emergency brake and friction againt the shoulder of the mountain, driving them Range Rovers into snow covered mountains where no one dared to even hike, drag racing, motorcycle on one wheel.) We made tons of mistakes and learned alot about relation between human and machine. Trust me if that brace was the cure, Saab engineers would have done it for you. Plus, it's cure to what ? "Torque Steer" ? So what ? isn't that where the fun kicks in (as long as you can keep it away from the ditch). Now, You don't see cars racing on rails, do You ? that would be just plain boring.
In a nutshell, It's never a balance; you enhance something only to restrain or weaken something else.
My 2 cents.
