I recently drove to MI (from VA) and back with no problems. I was very concerned with the DI and almost bought a spare. Today I had the rear tire repaired after finding a nail in it. While the wheel was off I took a look around and saw this green oring hanging on the hose. I assume it's a fuel line. That must be what everyone says comes loose and causes gasoline to pour out everywhere. I also noticed the inside edge of the rear tires are cupped very bad. I have no problem replacing tires every 6-8 months due to my driving style, but not due to a bad rear axle design. I also have no problem paying $500/mo for a car that I can rely on, to a reasonable extent.. I haven't even mentioned the recent drop in coolant that I just realized is the heater core. The rear shocks allow the rear of car to bounce around, but dealer said they were OK at 30K service. I'll take the car to the dealer again and might get rid of it soon thereafter. I hate to complain but that's my current situation. We'll see how I feel after it's fixed.
