How Long Will CEL Stay On?

During the cold last week, the vacuum line to the evap cannister came unmoored from the intake manifold. Messages started on the SID for "Tighten Fuel Filler Cap". I soon thereafter noticed the engine idle had gone up to around 1400 RPM. Up the road about 10 miles last Friday, the CEL came on. It was just too damn cold (-2 F) to poke around the engine compartment, so I saved it for Saturday when it got into the 30s here. That's when I found the vacuum hose disconnected on the passenger side, going to the intake manifold. Apparently Saab used a short (about 2") length of vacuum hose from the manifold, which connects to a longer hose coming out of a harness that seems to run toward the rear of the vehicle (I am assuming the evap cannister). Upon re-connecting-- no more filler cap messages, car is running fine with normal boost but the CEL is still on. It's been about 150 miles and five days since I corrected the problem. Is this one of the codes that has to be "cleared" by a shop, or will it just go away by itself?
Thanks
Steve
