Dean, I find your post really helpful. Anyway, I have been meaning to buy myself a spare DI as everyone suggested, but I'm in same shoes as Ben when it comes to being poor. I don't have $800 to do anything for sure. Back to business, so when I buy the spare DI, do I also need to have loctite in my car to replace the DI? I thought DI replacement was just take the old one off (using the tools they gave us with spare tire - why couldn't it come with spare DI and a dedicated place like spare tire?) and put a new one in... Should I use loctite when putting the new one in? I just want to have all the info as if I get stranded, it wouldn't be near the internet and if I get stranded before I buy spare DI, than I would just have to go home without it and buy spare DI right away...
Also I've been meaning to do the mods you have suggested, but I think I will upgrade parts only if OEM is worn/damaged. I think my shocks are kindda near worn out, but my muffler and brakes should be ok.
