Put a K&N air filter in my 01 SE Convertible yesterday. Boy am I old...I thought it would be like you open the hood. unscrew the butterfly nut and drop a new one in.
The operation wasn't horribly difficult but did take about 45 minutes.
Anyway, someone mentioned to me that I should pull the cable on the battery to let the computer reset so that it will measure the new air flow. Is this necessary? I thought the Saab's computer would figure it out on the fly...as it does if you switch gasoline octanes.
