Under normal circumstances AC never needs a recharge, so if it leaked out, there is a leak that needs to be fixed. One element not a warranty part is damage to the condenser, the one in front of the radiator, if caused by a rock or other foreign object. Everything else should be a warranty item, likely. Your service department needs to put dye in the charge or do a visisual inspection,as AC leaks form telltale dirt piles.
