Not to make you feel bad but I have had my saab 9~3 since july of 98 and have had zero alignments- and I feel like I have not needed one due to the way the car tracks, no shimmy thru the steering wheel, I can drive with my knees sipping a coffee and no funny wear on the tires.
It's real easy to succomb to buy cheap tires, I'm not saying you have to by V rated OEM tires. But buy a quality tire, subject to disagreement and discussion, but I have had good luck with Michelin. Next rotate them every 3-4000 miles.
Lastly, look at the money you have spent on alighnments- Maybe it's time that you go to a decent mechanic that will know your car and it's history. It doesn't have to be a dealer. need advice on whos a good mechanic? just drive around town and look for the mechanic that handles imports with the least amount of space in the parking lot, next call em and when they say they can get your car in for 10 days- you have succeeded in finding a good mechanic! good luck
