Thanks alot Dean. I think it's the MAP sensor. I checked the check-valves and they seem to be fine. I'll get a new MAP and try....maybe explains my slightly lower boost and high turbo lag I noted...but that's just by comparison to my older turbo Saabs (86 9000T, 91 9000CDT) I used to own, this is my folk's car, so I have no reference since I don't drive it every day.

I had a friend fax me a copy of the WIS page on this too. The 3-wire diode is funny, because the pump on this car only has two 16 guage wires going to it. One 12v power (I measured) and one ground. So perhaps there were early and later versions of this system. I can see no other vacuum monitoring sensor anywhere, besides the MAP.

I'll let you know how it goes.
