Hello, first time poster. My girlfriend is shopping for a 93 convertible. She is looking at a 2000 or a 2001 and I had a few questions on the car. I've seen that the plder 9-3s had a problem with the DI Cassette, how hard is this to change? i currently have an audi a4 and they had a problem with coilpacks going out leaving people stranded, so reading you guys with your DIs going out brings back memories of reading audiworld posts about people getting stranded with faulty coilpacks. how reliable is the automatic transmission, compared to the manual? Any specific things to look out for on the car? I've seen some posts that say to check out for oil leaks and what not. Also, would it be better to buy a CPO from a dealer and spend the extra money, or go for a used one on the classifieds or locals and save money? Is it possible to buy an extended warranty from Saab if she buys a car from a local person?
what she is looking for:
2000 or 2001
white with sand leather
s(unless you can take the wood out easy on the se, she hates wood): is there reallt that big of a difference between the 2? the se has automatic climate control and the s doesnt, correct?
thanks for all the help
Hector
