A note: Just to be safe, I went ahead and replaced the head bolts with new ones from eEuroParts. I figured it was definitely worth the really LOW cost, to be sure that I didn't break a bolt. So I guess I didn't really "re"torque, but rather just torqued the new ones... And since I was working with loose gasket material, and the cam cover was off for a short time, I went ahead and did an Oil and filter change, just to be sure nothing was floating around... all other information stands...
Thanks for all the encouragement and suggestions -- I have done an IAC, TB, and Purge valve cleaning rather recently. However, my idle is starting to stumble again, so I suppose it's time to have a more thorough go at cleaning the IAC. I did a really good job on the TB, I've just got to give the IAC another go. Also, that purge valve is starting to tick again, (that was cleaned last fall) so I think it's time to give that another WD40 flushing too. -- Any other suggestions other than WD40?
And you're right, I'm due for another Techron treatment...
I still have yet to port the TBTC -- I've really got to get on that -- maybe tomorrow or sunday, or maybe next weekend... I know how critical it is..I'm just nervous that I'll make it worse than it already is by doing something wrong...
