Alignment and torque steer, Part 2

Following up on my post from last week on this subject, I had my Viggen aligned over the weekend, and found I had way too much toe in (about twice factory spec). Following suggestions on this and the NG900 board, and since the Viggen has the 17" wheels, I decided to have the toe set to zero. This very significantly reduced torque steer, much more than I expected - it was really just an incredible difference. Combined with recent Pirelli P Zero Nero M/S, 225/45/17, and an existing Genuine Saab steering rack brace, I think the torque steer is quite acceptable now, with stock power levels.
I guess the lessons I learned were, first, don't forget the basics, and second, I never fully realized how affected this car would be by tires and alignment.
