The reworked pix is my photo, which has been passed around for a few years. When you see the pix of the stock unit, you can see the blunt edged restriction. Such a supid thing for Saab to do.
With this mod, the engine will run smoother and be more powerful as well. With the smoothness, you will tempted to think that there is less power. The stock TBTC creates so much turbulance, that cylinder charging is not uniform.
Do not grind the large end out to a taper. That would create a bad transition in the TB. You can smooth and grind it to a uniform 2.3mm thickness at that end.
Use a 1" medium grit sanding drum for best control over stock removal. Dremil tools are not the best for this.
The large end is held by two 10mm hex bolts.
Clean the TB while you are in there and perhaps the IAC as well.
