Having a bad day...

I had to leave work at noon today for an important meeting, and I left the house early to get into work early because of that. Only I noticed that my drivers-side rear tire was flat. Oh joy. No problem, I'll just throw on the spare and drop the wheel off at my mechanic and stop off to have them swap the fixed tire on my way out.
Wrong. Couldn't get the lugs off. They wouldn't budge. Not with a rubber mallet, not with putting all my body weight into it, nothing. Nada. Finaly after an hour of messing with it I got a can of the fix a flat stuff and was able to drive it to my mechanic. Only now they don't know if they can have it done by noon, and I got drenched in sweat on my walk back from the shop to my office.
Should I complain to my mechanic for not torquing the lugs properly when they installed the tires in April? They shouldn't be that hard to get off. I'm not that much of a sissy.
