I had Goodyear Eagle RSA's which I absolutely hated on my 2001
They only lasted about 20,000 miles.
I also read all the Tire Rack reviews and was trying to decide between the Bridgestone Touring Tire which is very highly rated by the users, and believe it or not Kumho Ecsta ASX. Kumho recently introduced this tire.
It is W rated-
I read many of the reviews on the Kumho Ecsta 716 and was pretty impressed with the reviews-
I figured I had to try the ASX's--Sears provides a 30 day trial where you can return the tires and get full credit against another set if they don't work out or you don't like them for whatever reason-
Tried them out and was pretty impressed by their smoothness on the road and they are reasonably quiet, and improved the cornering of the car also.
They only come with a 30000 mile warranty -but since my Goodyears only lasted 20K miles I wasn't too concerned.
Anyway, I have kept them and am happy with them.
Haven't tried them out in the winter yet,so we'll see how they work in the snow-
Sears sells them for about 430 installed with road hazard, lifetime rotations, flat reapir, etc. taxes, balancing and installation.
Seemed reasonable to me.
