No, I crashed it October 2 on completely dry roads. I had four studded snow tires on 16" BBS rims for winter use. I just came flying into a sweeping right turn way, WAY too fast. As I came into the apex of the turn there was a slight rise. When I went over it, the back end started to drift ever so slowly. I started counter-steering to compensate and bring the front-end back into line, but before I could do that the rise turned into a dip and the tires suddenly hooked up - fast. I got basically thrown off the left side of the road into a dirt parking lot, right into a parked Mazda 929 that was conveniently for sale.
SOLD!
Fortunately for me, I hit the parked car in its drivers side front quarter, sending it spinning almost 180 degrees while my car also spun 180 degrees and slid backwards about 75 feet. The accident may not look like it was that bad, but that's only because the impact force was spread out over such a large area. If I'd hit anything that was immovable, I doubt I'd be here typing.
Yes, I know how stupid it was.
I really loved that car, and the fact that I'm now driving a 1982 Mercedes Benz 300SD reminds me of that every day. 0-60 for the 300SD is listed as "NA". Anyway, thanks all for the good posts.
