...no, it wasn't the DI, but it could have been.

It poured here yesterday, and on my way home encountered some pooled water. I didn't think anything of it since the Chevy Cavalier and the Toyota Echo went through in front of me with no problem. Only my car stalled. The CEL came on, as did the "TCS OFF" light.

After sitting by the side of the road (I was on an incline so I was able to roll backwards), I finally got it started and running and could make it home, only it would stall if I left it in gear when I stopped, so I'd have to put it into Neutral whenever I came to a light (it's an auto tranny).

This morning, however, it will start but will just die after 2 or 3 seconds of REALLY rough idling. I have full battery power, as the radio and fans and everything will come on full strength. But the engine won't stay running. Tow truck is on its way.

I'm about to get a new 9-3 Arc, I hope it's a little more tolerant of water than this car. Maybe I should get a Cavalier or an Echo instead ;).
