I bought and installed the MP rack clamp before I sold the viggen. I didn't even install the rod/brace and it made a world of difference in the steering. The aluminum KIC piece is machined to fit the rack with precision and (by appearance) looks to be the better part. By the way, the KIC is a direct knock off of the uncopywrited and expensive abbott brace. The reason I bought the MP brace is function. If something does the exact same job and is $150 (or whatever) cheaper.. why not use it? Why pay for machining with no extra performance? I challenge anyone to put a lateral load on the rack and prove that the MP brace allows more movement than the KIC. Maybe you could justify the extra $$ by saving 1/2 lb? Heck, that's a few slices of pizza!
