I got my '01 Viggen Convertible there almost 3 years ago and while I've had some issues with the dealer's carelessness, they'd tried hard to make it right.

Their valet scraped my left front wheel against a curb and it eventually took a letter to SAAB USA and the dealer's owner to make them admit they did it. That was just one instance of sloppy service. The second was when they put the wrong colored top cover on and the third was they didn't put the car's jack part away in the trunk. They simply threw them all in the trunk, not putting them away in underneath the trunk cover. Unbelievable but true!

After sending the aforementioned letter detailing the lapses in service quality, they have since bent over backwards trying to make me happy, which I give them credit for.

Seems in your case they've admitted they did wrong by you by offering to pay for it. Just make sure their repair work is up to your standards before driving away and accepting your fate.
