Hi,
I just upgraded my '98 900SET Convertible for a CPO '02 9-3SE Convertible. The 9-3 is in beautiful condition, with 30K, most everything new that you could ask for according to the documentation (brakes, tires, carpets, etc).
I also noted that the top was replaced during reconditioning because the old one had a small tear or excessive wear. It looks great but I noticed an increase in wind noise when the car goes over 60MPH, more so than my '98 900SET. A little checking of the top has me concerned. Unlike my '98, the top on the '02 seems to have only two layers, canvas and headliner, (no inner insulation that I could see). Top looks to be a Saab part (Saab glass etc).
So what's up, dealer is a couple of hours of away so I will check with him when I can but I am curious to know what other '02 see and experience (top construction and wind noise at speed).
Thanks,
Bryan
