Well I was working at installing the KIC clamp and brace from Taliaferro tonight and I got the stock clamp and bushing off and I put the backing of the new clamp on and seated the top. I got both those screwed down with the brace on the top...
Now there is a little bracket piece basically I am assuming it acts as a washer that surrounds the lower part of the clamp when you have it against the firewall...However the new nut that came with the clamp is too big for the hole on this little washer thingy. Do I just bend it away and not use it with the new clamp??
Well I continued to tighted the bottom and top until it was almost secure then I went to punching out the little stud on the firewall but the instructions said I needed to drill out the hole to fit the 8mm bolt. But I couldn't get the drill positioned right for me to be able to drill out the hole.. How did you guys do it or do i just need a longer drill bit so I can hold the drill further away.
I got basically it all done until I ran into that problem so I had to put the stock one back on again cause I need to drive the car still..
Thanks
