Dean, Thanks for your response, I've done my best to answer each question. Please excuse some of my neophyte responses.

>> No low end torque?
>>
>> So it takes a long time to get on boost, but once the RPMs get up the
>> boost will build and it has boost to the start of the red?

Yes, that is exactly the case.

>> Starts ok? hot/cold

An occasional rough start, more typically when cold. Hot starts are typically fine.

>> Idles ok?

Yes. Maybe a **little** low, but nothing alarming. Right around 1000 RPMs.

>> Ever stalls?

No.

>> Ever misses?

I'm not sure I know what that means, so I can't answer accurately.

>> Injectors clean?

As far as I know... I had a fuel injector service about 15K miles ago.

>> Low oil pressure warning lamp works?

To the best of my knowledge. I can check for sure when I go out for lunch... I'm assuming it will light up briefly when I first start the car?

>> Belts or idler wheels ever replaced?

Yes, both, at about 75K.

>> You should read the plugs and get that CEL read.

I don't know what you mean by "read the plugs", and I was going to try and stop by my indie this afternoon to get the CEL checked out.

>> Do you have another black DI Saab to do DI swap trials with?

No.

>>Will you get in trouble if the CEL is ignored and there is damage as a result?

Probably not. I just had it in for a CEL a month ago and they replaced the mass air-flow sensor and some other things, and that fixed the noticeable problems I was having at the time. The CEL stayed off for about a week then came back on, but I haven't noticed anything too severe so I haven't made it a priorty. I had an appointment to drop the car off, but the night before the CEL went out and didn't come back on until the next day. More likely the fault will go to the mechanic for not diagnosing/fixing it the first time.

Thanks again, Dean.
