i do all my oil changes on my own now, but i used to go to jiffy lube when i lived in new england. with saabs being much more prevalent in that part of the country, i think they know their way around them much better. there was a local one i went to that seemed to be pretty repuitable. i didn't get the feeling they were trying to screw me over, they let me watch what they were doing, etc. however, i went to another "quick lube" type of place when i first moved to florida and before i even pulled into the bay, one of the guys was yelling "UH-OH, you're leaking oil!!" i told him that i am very meticulous when it comes to car-care and i would have noticed something like an OIL LEAK long before he popped his stupid head out of the bay. anyway, they tried to show me in the bay that it was leaking, and it clearly wasn't. the next thing i see, is the guy wailing away on my drain plug with his socket wrench muttering something about "these damn foreign cars!" i almost jumped back in the drivers seat and took off, but i couldn't make it back to the drivers seat in time. the next week, i picked up my filter wrench, ramps, and oil drain pan from wal-mart and have been doing my own ever since. i guess i took the guys at west lebanon jiffy lube for granted!

cliff notes: actually found a good jiffy lube shop in new hampshire; found a horrendous rapid lube shop in florida; have done my own since then.
