ARe you buying it from a dealer or a private party?
In addition to what Dean mentioned I would check the rotors and pads. At 50K they may have been replaced or could be in their last 10% -- you can visually inspect the pads and the feel the outer edge of the rotor for a significant lip. You can also see how worn down the slots are on the rotor surface as an additional indicator. The rears will likely go to 75 or 80K miles so they should be ok at 50K.
Bent rims are the other thing to look for if the rims are OEM. You can visually look at the the outside and interior lip of the rims for bends. Also see if the car has any shimmies during the test drive -- that is often a bent rim.
Common stuff are scratches on the lower front air dam or paint chipping on the intercooler grill.
Those are all bargaining points -- unless that car looks beat up or has serious driveline issues its probably OK at 50K. $18K is reasonable -- If you need a new rim its about $300. New rotors and pads will run you $300 on the front.
The Viggen is an excellent car -- I know from experience;)
