My first "Saab" story. Posted by Linda [Email] (#2122) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Linda) on Fri, 24 Jun 2005 17:53:34 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I just bought my first Saab. 2000 9-3 Convertible. I have wanted one for as long as I can remember. Had a terrible time trying to negotiate with the local dealer, so I decided to buy on ebay. I know, I know. It is a great car, however, when I got it from the broker in Florida, the seats were in bad shape, carpet stained really bad and the a/c does not work properly. I took it in to be looked at a local import service center that has a great reputation. Service center wasn't able to do anything with the a/c, because they do not have the "software" that is needed to pinpoint the problem. They did however inform me that it appeared to have not had any of the routine maintence performed. So, I had everything done....almost $900.00 worth. OUCH! And I still have to go to the dealer for the a/c. :( The carpet is no big problem.....it can be steam cleaned. However, the seats are in need of repair. Lots of cracks. Any ideas on how I can repair or restore?? Please tell me that I won't have to get a second job to pay for my dream car's repairs!!
