I am looking at buying a downpipe for my Viggen and want to know what the pros and cons of not having a cat on the downpipe. I live in Ontario with emission testing every two years. So will I fail the test if I am missing one of the two cats, can they tell if they are missing? For a visual inspection the guy would realy have to look to see it missing, so I am not worried about that.

If my information is correct there is no great hp difference between cat and no cat. It simply comes down to price, seeing as how a downpipe with cat is typically 50%-100% more then a downpipe without cat. So should I just save myself futur hassle and buy the cat or should I take a chance and see if I can pass with out the primary cat?

What are your opinions?
