Sorry for my english, posting from italy.
I bought a used tuner-cdplayer from my dealer for my '98 9.3 to replace stock tuner-tape.
They sold me that radio for less money because it has the same problem of yours. They replaced that radio from another '99 9.3.
The electronic assistance tested the radio but they found no problem in it.
When I listen to cd in hot conditions (summer, car left under sun) it give me the problem and sometimes simply unloads cd. When the cd is inside, it's easier to make it read it, but unloading and then loading again will fail.
In all other conditions it runs perfectly, reading original or burned cd's.
I think that, to show the problem to your dealer, you must use it for a lot of time to make it warm and do it in sunny to keep it hot.
