Passat is a great car and closer to the 9-5 than 9-3

I have a 02 jetta tdi, 99 9-3, 2001 9-5. I am looking at buying a new passat diesel. I do not know which vehicle I will sell. The passats are great cars. They do not have the power of the saab in the base models. I believe a Saab is a better purchase used because you can get them cheap. The volks is better new. They hold their value a little better; especially the diesels.

I don't think one vehicle has superior maintenance issues over the other. If that were a concern we would all be talking about Honda's and Camry's.

Just my opionion.
