The splatter definately looks like a spray pattern and I initally thought the belt may be invlolved. However; if fluid was getting to the belt then I would think it would be all over the engine bay not just in this area.
I'll tighten down the hoses in the area (PS) and clean up the area a little better so I can tell if I got the leak.
