Hello all
Two quick questions from a completely low-tech guy who just loves his 2002 Saab 9-3
1) the rubber tube ...erm.. thing that goes around the inside of the door frame (to make the seal... like on a washing machine) - no idea what it is called .. anyway - mine has been holed and has tho' not broken thru' has come away from the door frame for about 3" on the driver's door side. Is this a really minor but v. expensive repair? What do I lose by not repairing it? Is there a worthy temporary solution? Apologies for my completely unspecific description of the problem - rest assured I am suitably embarrassed.
2) I drive fairly hard I guess. I live in Rome. It is hot (90 deg +). Water levels etc. are fine. I have just noticed that the hood/bonnet (for the Brits) gets incredibly hot above the two front wheels. Last weekend, even a couple of hours after parking in the garage (in teh shade) it was still really hot to touch (not burnin' hot, but enough to make my little 2 year old squish up his face). Is this 100% normal? Is there any thing I should check? Once again, apologies for being way-too-dumb.
Thanks and wishing you all a happy summer
