Resetting the CEL via SID???

I read a post once that said you could reset the CEL by holding down the 'INFO' button on the SID for 15 seconds or so. Anybody ever done this? I have a 98 900S with the ground fault problem where the CEL comes on about 100 miles after resetting it. I have changed out the O2 sensor, so I know it's good. I just hate having to disconnect the neg battery terminal every time the &#$* thing comes back on. So...before trying the SID INFO button method and (just my luck) screwing something else up, I thought I'd see if anyone had any luck using this method.
