MISSING '95 900 SE v6

I have a '95 900 with the v6. It has been running very rough......missing is noticeable while idling, especially while at traffic lights with car in drive.......the miss is even more exagerated when the climate control unit is on (AC.......sometime it smooths out when RPM is up traveling down the road and sometimes not..........the engine light does not come on.........what could the problem be
