As Wade asked, "why do I want to know anyway"? Good question. My wife and I bought our 97 Talladega badged Saab from the original owner back in 2000. She, an Air Force officer, purchased it new when in Europe. (have some of the original papers). She drove it those appx 3 yrs around Italy mostly. she put 27K miles on it when we bought it in Las Vegas where she was transferred to the base there. (have the service records overseas and the shipping info). Saabs in Las Vegas were and probably still are a rare item due to the weather conditions. Its Cayenne Red and 2dr coupe now with 69kmiles. its the wives car and she cares for it pretty well. Once a month or 0nce every couple months, I'll sneak it out of the garage and runit for a few minutes at 120 with more room to go. For those who dont know, yes its all cosmetic. 2 tone leather, spoiler, front valance, color coded mirrors and bumpers plus neat alloys. And the "Talladega" script badge. For the real Saaber it can be a little more of a neat car to have. I'm 66 and the wife is closing in on that number. B-cause of the 5sp it will have to go someday, reluctantly. Still want to know, HOW MANY WERE BUILT? someone said a "handful". Anyone know????????
