I don't know if the NG is the same as the 9-3 but this is what my 9-3 uses to check for faults. I think the button combo is "auto" and "off". Or something close to that, maybe "on". I forget. Anyway, the recalibration will take about a minute or so and show you codes if there are problems. If one of the flaps sinde gets stuck, the fan will make a louder sound and vibrate the cabin. You might also be experiencing, less blowing through the vents now than if it were fine if one of the faps are stuck closed. The codes during re-calibration will show up if that is the case.
