Symptoms of rubbing brakes? (and a CPO question)

Took my '02 9-3SE out for a spin this AM, and something feels... wrong. Can't quite put my finger on it, but feels like the car is dragging, rather than rolling free. My suspicion automatically goes to a siezed caliper or other brake problem, but I'm more or less a car repair novice so I'm not sure.
Thanks to the alloy wheels I can visually inspect the rotors and pads, but wasn't entirely clear on what to look for. For instance how much of a gap between pad and rotor there should be when I'm parked without the e-brake on? There's a few mm on the rear brakes, but the left front does looks like it's touching. Also wondering how hot the brakes should be after a short drive? My rear rotors were hot, but I actually burned myself on the front (although I didn't smell anything).
Then the next obvious question is what would be covered by my CPO warranty? I know pads and rotors aren't as they're "consumables", but what about other brake system components? Not looking forward to a trip to the dealer as they just changed shops, but I can't afford to screw up my brakes.
Thanks in advance gang!
