successful ipod aux in! Posted by jblake [Email] (#24) [Profile/Gallery] (more from jblake) on Sun, 28 Aug 2005 22:37:26 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I tried the "Seth" varient of the Aux in to a stock Saab radio and it worked! Many thanks to Seth and German for their work to figure this out. I'll post some pics later. The signal is nice and clear. I would add that I concur with other posts and say use the headphone port to increase the volume. I mountes my port/switch on the location for the handsfree opening.
I have never soldered before but figured "what the heck!" The total time was about 6 hours and that included time to research out how to solder, go to Radio Shack and take apart a console I have never worked on before. I will be doing another 9-3 this week and anticipate a 1 hour work time. Total cost was ~$25 including the soldering iron.
