The metal might not even be from a bearing. Maybe it comes from chewed up balance shaft sprockets.
But since you are in there you need to loosen one bearing at the time and inspect all of them. It only takes one bearing to create a lot of debris.
To reach the timing chain and balance chain area you need to remove the timing cover and preferably the cylinder head.
