The block is the same, different stroke, same bore. So mounts should be the same. But ECU is programmed different. Different turbo?, so perhaps a different exhaust manifold? Don't know if clutch, gear box, drive shafts are different. All of this could be figured out, but a lot of time would be needed checking parts catalog. But others who have done this or investigated may have something to add.
Might not be possible to marry a Viggen ECU to the chassis wiring system. When an ECU is updated, the software that can be loaded is restricted by the electrical VIN number. So some issues with installing or updating an installed Viggen ECU.
If you install a 2.0L engine, there are some good ECU mods that will make good power. Then all that you need is the engine block. As Viggen engines are rare and some Viggen engines are failing, a good used Viggen engine might be hard to get.
Viggen also has a different exhaust system.
