Cause for broken clutch cable...

Hello, I have a 1995 2.3 with a manual tranny. A couple weeks ago, the plastic stop on the clutch end of the clutch cable snapped off, rendering the clutch pedal useless. I figured that it was just due to normal wear and tear on the cable. Well, I finally got around to replacing the cable today (thanks to everyone for the great instructions), and found that the actuator arm for the clutch seems to siezed in place. I tried prying it toward the back of the car with a three foot pry-bar, and it didn't budge. I'm guessing that the throw-out bearing is tweaked or something. Has anyone experienced this before? Before I go and buy a whole clutch assembly I would like to know what else it could be. are there bearings for the actuator arm?
thanks alot,
Dylan Wood
