KYB struts/shocks o.k.?

Been looking at some new struts, strut mounts, bearings and rear shocks for my car. At eeuroparts.com Boge struts/shocks are considerably more then the KYBs. Everything I should need using Boge/SAAB all around would be $644.42, while using KYB all around would be $399.16. I have been also wondering about strut mounts. I understand that KYB strut mounts are considerably cheaper than OEM. Are they safe to use (not going to fail like scantech mounts) if I don't use the bearings that come with them and just purchase the bearings listed on eeuroparts? Where is a good place to find KYB strut mounts? How many hours would a shop charge to install the front struts et. al.? I plan on doing the rear shocks my self.

1995 900S 3dr 5sp 95k miles.
