bump stops, URGENT!!

Tomorrow morning I am going to do the other side and it's the only day I can use a friend's tools and shop. I have to know what's best for the bump stop issue before tomorrow morning.
I did not try hard to press down the stock bump stop on the Bilstein HD piston rod. I assumed that the hard plastic groved ring that hold the boot would not allow the rod to slide in and expand the urethane bump stop.
Also I have noticed that the Bilstein sleeve nut that came with the Bilstein HD and that holds the strut insert in the strut carrier is very thin and does not have the stock nut wide flat surface to receive the bump stop when the strut bottoms out. I suppose that if the stock bump stop would strike on the Bilstein nut it would damage itself quickly, possibly get lodged on the nut.
I only hope the Bilstein HD have some kind of internal bump stops.
When I installed the strut insert I did not fill the strut housing with oil as someone says. The stock strut insert was not immerged in oil so I did not put oil with the Bilstein either. Do Bilstein HD generate more heat than stock inserts? Would the lack of oil be a problem?
Thanks
Giovanni
