Normally a "sport chassis" in a Saab is a lower ride height, like a 9-3SS Aero or 9-5 Aero, or for 2006 a 9-5 2.3t Sport, 10mm lower, and somewhat stiffer springs and beefier anti-roll bars and 17" wheels too. With the sport chassis in the 2002 9-3SE sedans there is no ride height difference and no 17's and it's difficult to tell them apart. If you didn't know about it the sport chassis would be hard to distinguish. But at the dealer ship when you can drive them back to back to back, you can sorta' feel it. The sport chassis corners a skosh flatter and is just a bit crisper on transitions, but nothing dramatic, and not near the difference between a regular chassis and an Aero chassis.
2002 was the only year a sedan came with the optional premium package. It was that way for verts in 2001, every Vert was an SE in 2001 and the premium package was an option, but in 2002 the verts got the premium package as standard equipment. Also in 2001 there were 9-3SE sedans and non SE's, but for 2002 all the sedans were SE's with the premium package optional.
BTW the ACC is generally considered more reliable than the knobs. A lot of the knobs tend to bind up over time so it feels like it's a broken knob, but it's actually the internal heater box deep inside the dash. The ACC on the otherhand is pretty bulletproof.
