Yes, the flood occurred in mid-August, but I finally have my car on the road. After all the insurance nonsense was completed it actually only took a few weeks to get it ship-shape. I am so glad to get back in the driver's seat!
Even after the flood repairs (and some non-related others), however, I still need an "A/C clutch," but I'm going to nurse this as long as possible. My mechanic said this needed to be done, but I could wait a few weeks to gather more funds.
Flood repairs:
change oil 3x
replace air filter
replace idle motor
replace throttle switch
replace alternator
Others:
replace water pump
replace clutch cable
Just wanted to share. I read a few other posts in the past few months with flooding issues. Thankfully, I am lucky enough to have a happy ending with mine. Best of all the A/C still works...I spent $400 exactly one week before the flood!
